background.

The Investigation:

We met the Team at Northdown House, and met our competition winners, Lisa and Eileen.
Lola and Jackie were already at the House.

We decided to make the function room our crew room for the evening, and left all the equipment in there as we commenced our lit walk around the building. We were taking baseline readings and taking pictures.

We went down into one of the cellars, where myself and Emma heard a whistling sound, which was,
through the course of the evening, heard in other parts of the House.

We continued around the corridors and stairways that link the rooms together.  We went through to where the old nursery and toilets were.  Everyone felt very uncomfortable in this part of the building.

After our lit walk around, we decided to set up the White Light TV in the bridge room and do our Spiritual protection.  We followed our protection with a seance.

We then decided to go to the back of the House, on the second floor, into the two large rooms. We all felt the temperature was colder inside than out.  Also Lynze felt like she was in a Nursery and wanted to sing rhymes.
There were temperature fluctuations in the corner of the room.

We continued around to what we called the nursery room -- some of the Team felt there was the presence of Children in this room.  We decided to put a cctv camera in this room as we felt there may be some activity there.

We decided to split into groups, and Myself, Sophie, Jacky and Adam went down into the other cellar where the well had been.  There had apparantly been a death by drowning in the well by a former Owner.  The cellar was very foreboding, and there were bands of cold air, which seemed to be moving.  We all stood in the far part of the cellar, and started calling out.  We heard a bang in the other room, and thought we heard a moan. Adam was filming, and, later returned on his own to film in that area again.  He asked me to have a look at the camcorder as in the pitch black of the cellar, he had captured lights that had danced in front of the camera.  This was great as Adam is a complete sceptic, and could not explain what these could be!

We all went up to the second floor of the building and split into different groups.  Emma, Sophie, Jacky and Daniel went into the Nursery room, while myself, Lynze, Lisa, Eileen and Adam sat quietly on the landing.  Lynze and myself felt the need to go down the hallway in the corridor, in between the two large backrooms and the Nursery.  We continued to sing nursery rhymes, and while we were singing we could hear a rustling sound from around the corner to our right.

Emma, Sophie, Jacky and Daniel were in the Nursery, and Emma sensed Children again.  she stood in between the tables that were set out in the room, and the EMF meter went off the scale where Emma had sensed activity. Lola was downstairs watching the TV monitor and said she saw lots of orbs.

Emma, Sophie, and Daniel then decided to go to the back area on the ground floor where the Nursery and toilets were to investigate.  They used the Franks box which was giving very good results, and some names.  We all met up there, to finish our investigation.

There were so many rooms and areas to investigate, and we feel that we only touched the surface on our investigation.  Every property we investigate has a different "feel" about it.  With Northdown House I think we all felt that we were chasing something around all night.  As soon as we thought we had something, it moved away, and we were on the chase again!
